A New Zealand
motorsport story.
Engineering, fabrication and the design and construction of distinctive New Zealand racing sports cars.
The Chevron story
Engineering with
a racing heart.
Chevron’s story is one of practical engineering put to remarkable use.
From garden trailers and precision machining to the design and construction of racing sports cars for the New Zealand market, the work has always been grounded in making things well.
As requirements changed, Chevron adapted—moving between one-off fabrication, industrial work and hand-built cars without losing touch with its engineering roots.

Built.
Behind every finished car is the engineering, fabrication and hands-on craftsmanship required to create it.

A Chevron original
The Chevron
Cypher
A unique sports car designed by Chevron’s Dan Fray and hand-built in-house at the company’s West Auckland facility.
Offered in race or road-going trim, the Cypher brought the full Chevron process together: design, engineering, fabrication and track development.

Beyond the racetrack
Engineering
Chevron’s work extended beyond cars to precision machining, fabrication, low-volume and one-off metal componentry, and structural and industrial projects.
